Yes, we ...Thank you Miss Melissa for your comment. Yes, we do love the Hooked on Phonics and David feels so proud each time he reads a book. Miss Laura, thank you for your kind comments too. I agree with you wholeheartedly on all the issues you mentioned. It is so sad to see what is happening today everywhere with young kids and what they are doing. I even thought of starting a Christian Bible character club for girls at her school but I would not know where to start. Do you have any ideas? I love the idea of having a one on one Bible study time with her too. Thanks for your suggestion. Great comments from both of you!Kristyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14482247383066626811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1759518664261265750.post-43761749058072198722010-02-11T09:03:09.347-08:002010-02-11T09:03:09.347-08:00Yep, as a former teacher, I chose homeschooling! ...Yep, as a former teacher, I chose homeschooling! I've taught in Public, Private, and Parochial schools...kids get into the same trouble (just more of it in the public schools). I guess what I want to say is : You may not think that you can make a difference in your daughter's school day - but you can! Keep giving her your insights into what is going on, help her to look closely at her friends, and at her choices. Do I think it will be easier for your son if he is homeschooled? Definitely!! However, your daughter is blessed to have you as her Mama - so keep up the good work! Keep teaching her to be strong, and to make good choices. As preachy as it sounds - I can't over-emphasize the power of having a Bible time just with her ! I'll help any way I can! We have not read them in order, I let her pick which one she wants. It is harder that way, but at least there is no arguing. I am debating whether to get the first grade one, for next year. Anyone with an imagination can probably figure what the kids were doing. If it is what I think it is very popular among kids these days. I never want to send my kids to public school, and will probably fight to the bitter end to avoid it. Have a great day, glad David is feeling better.Melissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17553319266378782849noreply@blogger.com
