Plants and seeds

Happy Monday everyone! We are beginning our study today about plants and growing things from seed. We are going to learn how to grow carrots and string beans over the next two weeks. I love to garden and so does David so this will be a fun thing to do in our homeschool. David did some alphabet, phonics, and number review today. We went outside today to use our sidewalk chalk on the cement to draw a number line 1 - 20 and to learn all about it and how to move forward and backward on the number line. I am reading some books about friendship this week and how friends are very important and the right way to treat our friends. We will also be making a friendship bracelet. The library will be our outing this afternoon as we need to pick up several books there to check out. We will also be signing a petition to save our library as it was in the newspaper that our local library and some others may be closing soon due to budget cuts. I love my library and support it in all ways that I can. Have a great day everyone!

  1. Our library here in Trenton has been targeted too. I am not surprised though. We are of course not doing schooling this week, but I am compiling videos for Caitlin about habitats.

  2. Sounds like you had a fun Monday! I love doing math outside w/chalk! Blessings, Laura

  3. Thanks Ms. Laura and Ms. Melissa for your comments. I can't wait to see all of you next Monday for the Easter eggs in the park.
