A Busy Day

I did not post yesterday as it has been very busy here these past two days. We had a funeral to go to today which took up most of our day. So, we will be doing homeschool tonight. It was just too hard to fit it all in this morning before the funeral. Anyway, tonight we will continue with our study of mammals and how some of them can help us in many ways. We will continue reviewing the letter sounds and addition problems. We will be drawing illustrations of farm animals on one side of the construction paper and wild animals on the other side. We will also make a kite out of construction paper and then I will have David glue yarn in the shape of a big K and little k on the kite. There will be many books read tonight and one of them will be about space and the stars and planets. We will overview each planet and will try to make a planet mobile to hang up. I have lots of Valentine books we checked out from the library that we will try to read this week also. I will see everyone tommorrow.

  1. Hi Ms. Kristy! It does sound like you've been busy! I really like the K on the Kite! We also have had funerals during school days (probably because no one is burried after nightfall). My husband is involved in funerals several times a year, and our children are also. I'm so thankful for homeschooling - it gives us the flexibility to be involved in events as a family! Blessings, Laura

  2. I so agree with you Miss Laura about the flexibility with homeschooling and attending funerals and stuff during the day as a family. It is so great to have that freedom and flexibility to do homeschool whenever you need to do it, whether at night or during the day. Thanks for your comment.

  3. I have to agree that is one of the benefits of homeschooling, the flexibility. I can not say the catching up is much fun though. You have a fully packed day, and evening planned. Have a great one.

  4. Yes, the catching up is not fun for me at all and I am usually stressed when we do miss a day or two of homeschool. So, it is much better for me to do homeschool everyday.
